In 2021, Yatra recorded the Spanish song "Dos Oruguitas" and its English language version, "Two Oruguitas" for the soundtrack of the Disney animated film Encanto.[24] The song, written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, represented Yatra's first inclusion on a Disney movie soundtrack and the accomplishment of a personal goal: "It's always been a dream of mine to be a part of a Disney movie and it really hits the heart when it's a Disney movie about my country and showing the best of what we have to offer, which is love and family and miracles," Yatra noted.[25] "Dos Oruguitas" was one of five songs nominated for Best Original Song for the 2022 Oscars.[26] On February 22, 2022, Yatra revealed the North America dates for his Dharma World Tour.[27]

On March 3, 2019, Sebastián Yatra announced that his second studio album would be titled Fantasía and shared its artwork on social media. 10 days later, Billboard revealed the album's track list in an article, mentioning it being set for release on April 12, 2019. Yatra told the magazine about the album: "I hope that with this album, we renew the votes [for] the Latin pop/ballad, a genre that I respect and value immensely and that has marked my life."[1][2] Fantasía was released for digital download and streaming by Universal Music Latino on the specified date and a solo version of "Falta Amor" was included as the second track.[3] In an interview with Billboard, Yatra chose seven key tracks from the album, including "Falta Amor", and explained the stories behind them. He told the magazine that "Falta Amor" is "a song that is the favorite of many".[4]
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Yatra said about collaborating with Martin: "Singing with Ricky Martin is just insane. I would have never thought it possible in [this] lifetime. It's huge not only as a Latino, but for any person that loves music."[9] He also told the Associated Press that Martin raised the track "a lot with his voice".[10] Additionally, Martin stated about the song during an Instagram Live: "Falta Amor brings me back to my beginnings like my song Vuelve. It brings me back to those big ballads that we used to sing back in the day that touched so many people. [...] Falta Amor is that song we need right now. We were supposed to drop this back in January but for some divine reason, it came out now."[11] The re-made version was released as a single for digital download and streaming by Universal Music Latino on March 26, 2020,[12] almost six months after its recording.[13] "Falta Amor" marked the first collaboration between Yatra and Martin.[14] The song was later added to Yatra's compilation extended play Hecho x Sebas: Directo al Corazon (2021).[15]
Chandanwari-Sangam Highway as part of NH501, including 11 km long Khanabal-Baltal Tunnel (Sheshnag Tunnel) under the Mahaganus Top (Ganesh Top), is the 22 km long greenfield section of the national highway on the South Route which will connect the South and North yatra routes via the highway tunnel. In January 2023, MoRTH's NHIDCL invited RFP submissions by vendors by 20 Feb 2023 for preparation of DPR (detailed project report) which will take 10 months to prepare, subsequently after 2 months long pre-construction preparation the construction will take 5 years, with the target completion date of 31 March 2029 (total 6 years).[50]
The yatra is a way of earning revenue for the state government by imposing tax on pilgrims.[56][57] Local Muslim Bakarwal-Gujjars also make a living by offering services to the Hindu pilgrims. This source of income has been threatened by the Kashmiri militant groups who have harassed and attacked the yatra numerous times.[19][58][59][60][61][62]
Sir Walter Roper Lawrence in The Valley of Kashmir (1895) writes that the difficulty of pilgrimage route affected the weak and sick, with many also falling victims to cholera.[16] In 1928, over 500 pilgrims and mules died on the way to the cave.[83] In 1969 a cloudburst resulted in the death of 40 pilgrims.[83] The 1996 Amarnath Yatra tragedy involved the death of 243 pilgrims due to exhaustion and exposure.[84][63] In July 2012, 12 pilgrims were killed in a road accident. The pilgrims were part of a team who had set up a community kitchen at the pilgrimage.[85] Three people were killed and more injured due to a cloudburst at Baltal in 2015.[86] Of the 622,000 yatra pilgrims in 2012, 130 died during the yatra. The major cause was attributed to people who were not physically fit for the arduous climb, high elevations, and adverse weather undertook the yatra. Some also died in road accidents before reaching the base camp from where the yatra starts. Of the 130 deaths, 88 were due to purported health reasons and 42 in road accidents.[87] On 16 July 2017, 18 pilgrims died and many were seriously injured after a JKSRTC bus, which was plying from Jammu city to Pahalgam as part of Amarnath Yatra Convoy, fell into a 150-ft deep gorge near Nachlana area of Jammu's Ramban district around 1:45 P.M. 16 pilgrims had died on the spot, while 2 succumbed later to their injuries.[88] This accident happened less than a week after a deadly terrorist attack on a bus carrying Amarnath Yatra pilgrims from Gujarat.
The first threat targeted against Amarnath pilgrims was in 1993; that year Pakistan-based Harkat-ul-Ansar had announced a ban due to demolition of Babri Masjid in the previous year.[89] The pilgrimage however was mostly peacefully.[89] The Harkat-ul-Mujahideen group imposed what it called a "ban" on the yatra in 1994, 1995 and 1998 while threatening the pilgrims of "serious consequences", however the pilgrimage did continue.[90][91]
Environmentalists have expressed concern that the number of people participating in the Amarnath Yatra is having a negative impact on the area's ecology and some have expressed support for government regulated limits on the number of pilgrims permitted to make the trek.[102] However no studies have been made nor has an environmental impact assessment done. As of date, the Government of India restricts travellers only on the basis on logistics, time window for the yatra and weather.
The yatra has already received an overwhelming response; lakhs of people accompanied by Congress leaders have joined the movement to raise their voice against the economic, social and political issues that are dividing our nation today. The yatra seeks to address rampant unemployment & inflation, the politics of hate and division and the over-centralisation of our political system.

In a bid to prepare ground for Jan Suraaj, this 3000km Padyatra will begin on the 2nd of October 2022 from the Gandhi Ashram in Paschim Champaran with an aim to reach not just every district but all the blocks and panchayats of the state.
The political debate in Bihar, instead of focussing on caste-based issues alone, should focus on the state of (un)employment, lack of economic and social development , and becoming vocal about the real problems on the ground. The idea behind the 3,000 km Padyatra is to take the idea of Jan Suraaj across the state of Bihar and connect with people who are development-oriented and want to establish a system of issue-based politics in the state with collective actions.
